MYRTLE IRENE MACFARLANE
MACFARLANE, MYRTLE IRENE Irene (Hill) MacFarlane of Temperance Vale passed away May 22, 2008 at Upper River Valley Hospital. Born at Millville, NB in 1943, she was a daughter of the late Walter B. and Vivian H. (Jones) Hill. Irene was employed as a Red Cross Homemaker and at King Landing Historical Site for 12 years. She was a member of the Temperance Vale United Pentecostal Church, secretary to Temperance Vale Community Hall and an active volunteer in the Temperance Vale area. Her hobbies included quilting, gardening and cooking. Irene is survived by her children; Chris MacFarlane (Gwen), Millville, Laureen Scheibelhut (Edward), Calgary, AB, Phillip MacFarlane, Hawkins Corner and Melanie MacFarlane, Halifax, NS; five grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jeremy MacFarlane, Michael and Sarah Scheibelhut and Peter Biggar; one great grandchild, Brayden; two sisters, Carol Ann Griffin (Bob), Fredericton and MaryLou Brewer (Joe), Howland Ridge; four brothers, Beverly Hill (Debbie), Hawkins Corner, Glendon Hill (Debbie), Fredericton, Gary Hill, Alberta and Barry Hill, Howland Ridge; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Irene was predeceased by an infant son, Stephen Christopher MacFarlane. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the Temperance Vale United Pentecostal Church, 34 Pike Hill Road (off Route 595), Temperance Vale with Rev. Terry Brewer and Rev. Wayne Schriver officiating. Interment at Hawkins Corner Cemetery. A reception will follow at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be Darlene Pike, Bonnie Blaney, Corey Brown, Donna Davidson, Delores Stairs, Geraldine Hickey, Peggy Stairs and Doris Blaney. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons; Jeremy and Jeffrey MacFarlane and Peter Biggar; nephews, Alex Brewer, Brenden Brewer and Korry Hill.
