RIVA, ANTONIO (1916 - 2008) Antonio Riva of Fredericton, married to the late Fanny (Spada) Riva, passed away at the DECH on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the age of 92 years. Although born in Feltre, Italy to the late Giuseppe and Virginia (Ocri) Riva, Antonio came to Canada in 1955 and later became a Canadian citizen. He is survived by two sons, Julian (Louine) of Saint Andrews and Claudio (Dayle) of Fredericton; five grandchildren, Kim, Robert, Lori, Lisa and Lindsay; three great-grandchildren, Paige, Ciera and Emma; one brother, Gianluigi (Alda) of Italy as well as several nieces and nephews. Fondly known as Tony, he was loved by all who had the opportunity to get to know him. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home, 160 York Street (458-9170), on Monday, May 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 27 at 12:00 noon. Rev. Gerald M. White as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hermitage Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Tony's honor may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society. www.mcadamsfh.com
