IRVINE DOUGLAS BOONE

BOONE, IRVINE DOUGLAS The passing of Irvine Douglas Boone, of Tay Creek, NB, occurred on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 23, 1928, in Tay Mills, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Mary (Davidson) Boone. Irvine worked as a self employed carpenter for many years. He was also a member of the Smith LOL #144 in Woodlands and greatly enjoyed working in his workshop. Irvine is survived by his brother, Allen (Dorothy) Boone; one nephew, Duane (Cathy) Boone; several cousins and the family of the late Etta Foster. Besides his parents, Irvine was predeceased by one brother, Eldon Boone; one sister, Elva Boone; several aunts and uncles and also his special friend, Etta Foster. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday, June 2 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Members of the Smith LOL # 144 are asked to assemble at 6:45 pm for a Tribute Service. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 2 pm with Father Ranall Ingalls officiating. Interment will take place in the Zealand Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the Smith LOL #144, Woodlands, NB, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
