CARR, WILLIAM (WILLIE) SALATHIEL Surrounded by family, William (Willie) Salathiel Carr passed away at the DR. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Friday, June 6, 2008 in his eightieth year and after a period of failing health. He was born in Geary, The son of the late Robert and Belle Carr. Willie was employed at the Lord Beaverbrook Hotel in Fredericton for many years before joining School District 25 in Oromocto as a bus driver until his retirement. Willie and Pauline enjoyed retirement to the fullest, spending winters with many new friends at the Seabring Trailer Park in Florida. Willie is survived by his wife of sixty years, Pauline (Legassie); son, Bill (Debbie) of French Lake; daughter, Mary Lou (Allen) of Dawson Creek, BC; sisters-in-law, Avis Cabanna (Ray), Doreen LeGassie, and Joanie LeGassie; brother-in-law, Reg LeGassie (Sandra); son-in-law, Stan (Dianne) and five grandchildren, Andrea Hawe (Donnie), Eric Foss, Kevin Foss, Troy Howe (Tracey) and Tanya Milton (Jeff). Also survived by great-grandchildren, Kiersten, Bailey, Kaitlyn, Caitland, Hannah and Caroline. He will be missed by his uncle, Ashley Carr and special niece, Paulette (Carr) Rogers who was flower girl at his wedding and many nieces and nephews, friends and special neighbours, Willie and Kathie Pinette. Willie was predeceased by his daughter, Gloria Ann; granddaughter, Carrie, and brothers, Paul, and Orville and brothers-in-law, Gerald, Alden and Douglas. Resting at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, June 8 from 6-8 pm and Monday, June 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be at the Geary Baptist Church, 668 Broad Road, at 2 o'clock on Tuesday with Rev. Greg Sparkes officiating, assisted by Rev. Harold Sparkes. Interment will be in the Lower Geary Cemetery.
