MARION MADELINE DILLON

DILLON, MARION MADELINE Marion (Brown) Dillon, wife of the late Stanley Dillon, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 13, 2008. Marion was in her 89th year. Born on July 28, 1919 in East Brighton, NB, she was a daughter of the late John and Alice (Billings) Brown. For many years, Marion and Stanley could be found enjoying every Saturday selling goods at the Boyce Farmer's Market. Marion was a former member of the Central Hainesville Baptist Church. She faithfully attended the Burtt's Corner Baptist Church and was a member of the choir until she was unable to attend. Marion was also a member of TOPS # 3813. Thanks to her family and many caregivers Marion was able to remain at home throughout her lengthy illness. Marion is survived by eight children, Gerald (Lynda) of Kingston, ON, Donna (Ron) Osborne of Burtt's Corner, NB, John (Betty) of Edmonton, AB, Joyce (Reno) Bourgoin of Burtt's Corner, NB, Kathleen (Jerry) Brown of Bear Island, NB, Norma (Stephen) Brewer of Burtt's Corner, NB, Madeline (Livain) Martin of Fredericton, NB and Karl (Debbie) of Burtt's Corner, NB. She is also survived by a sister, Phyllis (Clowes) Palmer of Millville, NB; one brother, Allison (Doreen) Brown of Gatineau PQ; 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Marion was predeceased by two sisters, Alma (Loomis) Hawkins, Bessie (Fred) Wallace; three brothers, infants, Clifford, Lewis and brother, Elwood (Hazel) Brown; half-brother, Chalma (Bertie) Billings. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday, June 16, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from the Burtt's Corner Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 1pm with Rev. Dave Wellwood officiating. Interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Burton, NB. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Pine Grove Cemetery or to the Burtt's Corner Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
