HOWE, EDITH DOREEN (JARDINE) The passing of Edith Doreen (Jardine) Howe, wife of the late Theodore Howe of Fredericton, occurred on June 22, 2008 at York Manor Nursing Home. Born on August 30, 1926 in Quarryville, she was a daughter of the late Addington and Marguerite (Harris) Jardine. Edith enjoyed reading and listening to gospel music. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Morrison (Rick) and Sylvia Smith (Merlin) all of Fredericton; four sons, Wesley Howe, David Howe (Judy), Larry Howe (Pam) all of Fredericton and Darrell Howe (Joanne) of Victoria, BC; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Lorna Sturgeon of Gray Rapids; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one son, Gordie Howe; infant grandchild, Wanda Gillespie; 14 brothers and sisters. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 2 pm with Pastor Raymond Woodward and Pastor Jack Leaman officiating. Interment will take place at Dayton Cemetery.
