BROWN, MERENA LOUISE (HANSON) The passing of Merena Louise (Hanson) Brown, wife of Marshall Brown, of Southampton, occurred on June 27, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 25, 1940, in Hainesville, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Jane (Seymour) Hanson. Merena was a member of the Southampton Baptist Church where she was a choir member. She was a member of the Women's Institute. Merena enjoyed knitting and spending family time at the cottage. Besides her husband, Merena is survived by daughter, Debra Brown of Southampton; sons, Robert (Melita) of Mazerolle Settlement, Thomas (Maxine) of Red Deer, AB, Timmy (Shelley) and Teddy all of Southampton; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Rowena Estey of Estey's Bridge, Evelyn Waugh (Lloyd) of Carlisle Road, Beatrice Johnson of Hainesville, Jean Grewshe (Don) of Silverwood, Lil Smith (Harry) of Fredericton, Yvonne Billings of Hainesville and Helen Bird (Donald) of Burtts Corner; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Pauline, Carolyn, Dorothy and Eileen; brother, Douglas. Although there will be no visitation by request, a Memorial Service will be held from Southampton Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 2 pm with Rev. Bob Johnson officiating. Interment will take place at Lenentine Cemetery, Southampton. Donations made to the Palliative Care Unit of Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
