BAIRD, YVONNE ANITA (BOYER) It is with sadness that the family announce the death of Yvonne Anita (Boyer) Baird, widow of Alex Baird. Born August 21, 1919 in Chinook, AB, she died peacefully at Pine Grove Nursing Home in Fredericton, NB on July 18, 2008. She graduated from the Victoria Public Hospital School of Nursing in 1942 and was always happiest when helping others. She had various nursing assignments including Bath Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital in Sarnia, ON, Minto Hospital and the Chipman Health Centre. She lived in Fredericton for the last several years but was a previous long term resident of Brigden, ON and Chipman, NB. She is survived by her children, David (Sue) Baird and Jim Baird of Fredericton, Mary (Don) MacPherson of North Bedeque, PE, and John (Janet) Curwin of Winnipeg, MB. as well as; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren; her brother, Roy (Nita) Boyer of London, ON, and several nieces and nephews. At her request, there will be no visitation. There will be a Memorial Service at St. Paul's United Church in Fredericton on Friday, July 25th at 2 PM. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
