SCHOLTEN, JOHANNES HENDRIKUS PIUS (John) John was born in Holland on December 21st, 1946 and immigrated to Canada in 1952. John is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jeannette Scholten (Legere); his daughter Karla Forsythe (Donnie) and their children, Jordan and Taylor; his son Jason (Emily Prior) and their children, Lee, Vaughn and Gabriella; four brothers, Alex Jr. (Irene) of New Maryland, NB, Willie (Beatrice) of Fredericton, NB, Herman (Connie) of Fredericton, NB and Tony (Lea) of Moncton, NB; ten sisters, Femy (Tony) Veerkamp of Fredericton, NB, Sientje Scholten of Toronto, ON, Nardy (Gerald) Lourenssen of Welland, ON, Mary Brewer of Fredericton, NB, Annie (Harry) Buyting of Fredericton, NB, Fientje (Joe) Cameron of Upper Tantallion, NS, Theresa Scholten of Fredericton, NB, Paula (Wayne) Tomilson of Fredericton, NB, Marilyn (Pierre) Gallant of Moncton, NB and Leidy (Mark) Fox of Fredericton, NB; two sister-in-laws, Dini Scholten (Benny) of Fredericton, NB and Anne Scholten (Bertus) of Rothsay, NB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his parents Alex and Maria Scholten; three brothers, Bertus, Benny and Francis; two sisters, Liedy and Truusje.John lived his life as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be sadly missed by all. Visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 29th, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Charity of the donor's choice. A special thanks on behalf of the family to the staff of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital and the Oncology Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital.
