MCARTHUR, ROBERT "BOB" WILLIAM It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Bob McArthur of Oromocto, NB on August 1st, 2008. Born in Fredericton, NB he was the son of the late John and Grace McArthur and husband of the late Doris R. (Cleghorn) McArthur. Bob touched a lot of people's lives and hearts. He was a gentle soul with a big heart who always enjoyed entertaining folks with his gift of music, playing guitar and singing for all of his family and friends. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Bonnie Mason (Paul) of Red Deer, AB; his grandchildren, Christopher Mason (Courtney) and Jonathan Mason (Louise) all of Red Deer, AB; his great-grandchildren, Avery Mason and Cade, Vaughn and Maddox Mason all of Red Deer, AB; his life-long friends, Isabel and Jack Mason as well as Gary, Alison, Erik and Bailey Mason; several brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; wife, Doris; two sons, Robert Alan and Dennis Conrad McArthur as well as several siblings. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Thursday, August 7th, 2008 from 7-9 pm. The memorial service will be held on Friday, August 8th, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bob Jones will officiate. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 will also hold a tribute service at the time of the memorial service. Interment will follow in the Burton Cemetery with a reception following at the funeral home.
