GREEN, MINNIE LOUISE At the York Manor Nursing Home on August 10, 2008, Minnie Louise Green formerly of New Maryland, passed away peacefully at the age of 99. Born in Lincoln NB, she was a daughter of the late Adolphus and Lena (Lawson) Green and wife of the late Harold Green. Minnie was a member of the First Wesleyan Church, and worked for John Palmer Ltd. as a stitcher. She enjoyed knitting, doing puzzles and baking, but the priority in her life was the care and love she had for her children and family. She will be most remembered for her charismatic personality. Surviving are her children Thelma Chessie of Fredericton, Allan Green (Bea) of Charters Settlement, Nancy Hodgson of Nasonworth; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by a daughter Frances; son Donald; brother Harry; sister Beulah; son in law Tyler Hodgson; grandchildren Brian Chessie, Gordon Porter Jr., Vinal Porter and Cindy Green. Although there will be no visitation, a family funeral service will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 14th with Rev. Peter Beckwith officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the CNIB or a charity of the donors choice.
