ROGER E. LEBLANC
LEBLANC, ROGER E. (1929 - 2008) It is with sadness the family announces the passing of, Roger LeBlanc, of Fredericton (formerly of Moncton) in the Sackville Memorial Hospital on August 10 after a short battle with cancer. Roger was the son of the late Matilda and Alyre LeBlanc of Moncton, husband of 53 years to Marjorie McInnis; father to Monique (Donald) Rutherford of Dieppe, Marcia (Roger) Cormier of Dieppe, Marlene (Brian) McKenna of New Jersey, Jeffrey of Victoria BC, Richard (Stephanie) of Yoho Lake and Barry of Fredericton; Gramps to Colin, Wade, Christine, Nicholas, Renée, Mélissa, Casey, Jeremy, Katelyn, Brian, Erika and Michael and to his great-grandsons, Jean-Michel and Ryan. Roger is also survived by his sisters, Stella Delahunt of Moncton, Jeanette Jarret of Montreal; brothers, Paul (Leatrice) of Moncton and Arthur of Saint John; sisters-in-law, Greta LeBlanc of Toronto and Rita MacFarlane of Moncton and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Doris; and brothers, Edgar, Ronald and Larry. Roger will be missed by his church family at St. Anthony's in Devon where he was a very active member. After retiring from the provincial government, Roger's hobbies included travelling, winemaking, and time spent with his family at the cottage in Bayfield. No visitation or flowers by personal request. Donations to the Fredericton Food Bank or Sackville Memorial Hospital Foundation's campaign "Donate for Dignity" would be appreciated. The family will receive condolences at a reception following services at St. Anthony's Church on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 11 am. Interment will be at a later date at St. Bartholomew's Cemetery in Melrose, NB. Arrangements are under the care and direction of York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive.
