GOODINE, RODNEY EUGENE The passing of Rodney Eugene Goodine, of Fredericton, NB occurred suddenly on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 27, 1958, he was the son of Louise (Abernethy) Goodine and the late Shirley Eugene Goodine. Rodney worked at the Fredericton City Club. He enjoyed golfing, Nascar racing and the Boston Red Sox. He also enjoyed watching UNB hockey. Rodney is survived by his daughter, Sarah Goodine of Seoul, Korea; and her mother, Linda Goodine of Fredericton; sisters, Pauline Rioux (Sylvain); and their son, Alexander and Kimberley Goodine; all of Fredericton; his companion, Suzanne McCoy of Fredericton; four boys, Christopher, Stephen, Mark and Aubrey; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 2 pm with Pastor Tim Guptill officiating. A Reception will follow in the funeral home's fireside room. Pallbearers for the service will be Mike Fairley, Tim MacTavish, Quinn DeLong, Ron Morris, Kevin Doucette and Ross Randall. Interment will be at the Marysville United Baptist Cemetery following the reception. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Children's International Summer Villages (CISV) or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
