ARMSTRONG, SHIRLEY JEAN Shirley Jean Armstrong of Nackawic, NB passed away in the company of family at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Saturday, August 16, 2008, at the age of 65. Born in Winchester Springs, ON in 1943, Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Glen and Laura (Whittaker) Baker; two brothers, Raymond Baker and infant Ralph Baker. She is survived by husband Dale Armstrong; brother Lloyd (Kitty) Baker, Delta, ON; sons Deryl (Giana) and Kevin (Christina) Armstrong, both of Fredericton, NB and granddaughter Kate Armstrong and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Monday, August 18, 2008 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 2 pm with Rev. Jennifer Brown officiating. Interment will take place later. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Shirley, the family has suggested the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Shirley will be remembered as a woman of strong character and spirit, deeply dedicated to her family and friends. She went to great lengths to extend kindness to all she knew. She will be greatly missed.
