LEBEL, RUTH (FOWLER) At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday September 8, 2008, Ruth Elizabeth LeBel of Fredericton passed away at the age of 79. Born in Young's Cove Road, NB, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Lena (McNamara) Fowler. Ruth spent the majority of her working years as a music teacher. She started in Jemseg and taught in Minto, Plaster Rock and Nackawic. Ruth had a great passion for music and loved to watch her young student blossom through her guidance. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Reg; her two sons Ashley (Gail) LeBel of Peterborough, ON and Carman (Linda) LeBel of Bayfield, ON; two grandchildren Trevor and Devin LeBel of Peterborough, ON; a sister Geraldine Barrett (Rev. George) of Dartmouth, NS; niece Ruth Downing; nephews Jean Barrett and Kevin Barrett. Ruth was also predeceased by a son John Allen LeBel and a nephew Paul Barrett. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road with visitation on Wednesday September 10, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A private family interment service will be held in Young's Cove with Rev. Bob Jones officiating. Donations to the Young's Cove United Church Cemetery or the Leukemia Research Fund of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
