SYLVIA FOWLES

FOWLES, SYLVIA Sylvia Fowles died on September 18th, 2008. Sylvia was born in England in 1927 and came to St. Andrews, N.B., in 1940, as a war evacuee. Although she returned to England after the war, her heart was still in Canada. She moved back to Canada from 1948-51, and finally came back to stay in 1957. Sylvia is survived by her husband John, son Noel, daughter-in-law Carol, grandchildren Kathyrn and Autumn, and numerous relatives in England. At this time we wish to express our appreciation to the following people for the kindness, comfort, and assistance extended to Sylvia and family during her illness: The Dean, staff, and members of Christ Church Cathedral; The staff of Fredericton Co-op on the Vanier Highway; Many good friends and neighbours; The nurses and staff of the Everett Chalmers Hospital; The extra-mural nurses, and other visiting members of that department. Sylvia loved the theatre, music, and dance. In an increasingly fast paced world, she always had time to "have a chat" and was a caring listener. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
