ELIZABETH (BETTY) TWEEDIE
TWEEDIE, ELIZABETH (BETTY) The family of M. Elizabeth (Betty) Tweedie announce that she has gone to be with her Lord and Savior. Betty died on Saturday, September 27th after a period of failing health. She was born in Pugwash, NS, the youngest child of Frederick Elias King and Sarah (MacIntosh) King. Betty met and married Jack Tweedie in Amherst, NS. They moved to Sydney a few years later where they lived for many years and had a very special relationship with family. Betty moved to Fredericton in 1999 and became very much a part of the lives of family again. Betty was predeceased by her husband Jack Earl, sister Celia, brothers Fred, Dick and Ewen and son-in-law Jim MacInnis. She is survived by her sons Hugh and wife Sharon, Eric and wife Lynn and daughter Bonnie and husband Tex (Wendell) Burris. She is also survived by grandchildren Loran (Linda) Tweedie, Michelle (Maurice Chaisson) Tweedie, Patricia Keagan, Craig (Paula) Tweedie, Janice MacInnis, Grant (Kathleen McLaughlin) MacInnis, and Sarah (Jamie) Rae. Her great grandchildren are Colin, Shannon and Daniel Tweedie, Laura, Katie and Paul Chiasson, Sarah Keagan, Holly LeBlanc, Dillon, David and Erin Tweedie, Benjamin and Andrew Grant Rae. Betty will always be remembered for her love of her Savior, love of her family and for her gentle quiet ways. Visitation will be held Wednesday October 1, 2008, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Sydney Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will take place Thursday 1pm in the chapel with Rev. Jim Murchison officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
