BOWLER, MADGE (Nee Bonnett) Wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on January 30, 2009 at the age of 91. Madge was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Rowland; her parents Bertram and Hettie May; brothers Jim, Harry, Basil and Eric; sisters Mary and Beryl. She is survived by her sisters Hazel and Mavis and brother Stan. She is also survived by her children MayLynn (Ron) and son Bert (Gail) and six grandchildren; Wendy (Mike) and daughters Meagan and Olivia; Doug (Kim) and sons Cole and Colin; Michael; Jodi (Chris); Justin (Sylvia) and children Rheanna and Jett; Jeremy (Sylvie) and children Chris, Aimee, Dylan, Joseph and Joshua. Madge was born on April 27, 1917 and raised at Palmer, Saskatchewan. During the war she worked at a munitions factory as a machinist, making anti-aircraft gun barrels. Madge moved to Regina when she married Rowland and later worked for Simpson's department store, in the drapery department, for 25 years. Madge was a gifted quilter and sewer and enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed bowling and golf and loved to travel. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 @ 1:00 pm from Piche-Hawkins-Grondin Funeral Chapel, Gravelbourg, SK. The family wishes to say a special thank-you to the wonderful staff and caregivers at Parkside Extendicare that looked after Madge for the last nine years. In lieu of flowers friends so wishing may make donations to the Parkside Extendicare Recreation Fund, 4540 Rae Street, Regina, SK S4S 3B4.
