MELVIN "MEL" WILLISTON
WILLISTON, MELVIN "MEL" The passing of Melvin "Mel" Williston of Fredericton, NB, husband of Noreen (O"Hara) Williston occurred on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 25, 1931 in Bay du Vin, NB, he was the son of the late Melbourne and Emily (Graham) Williston. Mel worked for Model Meat Market for 23 years, he then worked as a truck driver at Irving Oil for 25 years. He loved travelling and camping. In addition to his wife, Noreen, Mel is survived by his sons, Terry (Brenda) and Tim (Nancy); daughter, Sandra; grandchildren, Michael (Monica), Jeffrey (Diana), Deanna (Sean) Morris; great grandchildren, Breanna Morris and Nicholas Williston; brothers, Douglas, Dysart (Joanne) and Ralph (Celine); sisters, Audrey (Lawrence) Adams, Edith Hoyle, Dot Rickard and Edna (Walter) Gallant; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mel was predeceased by his brothers, Eldon, Ernest, John, Bernie, Herman and Stevie; sisters, Doreen and Winnie. There will be a gathering at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 1-3 pm. Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery.
