STAIRS, LAURENCE LESTER GRAYLING, MI - Laurence Lester Stairs, 70, of Grayling passed away on Tuesday, October 28th, 2008. Laurence was born in New Brunswick, Canada on June 8, 1938, the son of the late Abijah and Christina Stairs. He married the former Helen Burden in June of 1958. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Ortonville, MI. He moved to the Grayling area about 6 years ago. Survived by mother, Christina Stairs of New Brunswick Canada; wife, Helen of 50 years; sons, Charles (Jennifer) Stairs of Empire, Andrew (Anna) Stairs of Fenton; daughter, Laurie (Kristopher) May of Ortonville; grandchildren, Seneca & Sonja Stairs Tyler & Calley May; brother, Keith Stairs of Toronto, Canada In keeping with respect of Laurence's wishes he has been cremated and no services are planned.
