SUSSEY, TERRANCE "TERRY" NELSON The death of Terry Sussey occurred on Wednesday, November 5th, 2008 in the care of his family and the wonderful staff of the OPH palliative care team. Terry worked for many years as a social worker with the provincial government. He will be remembered by many for the positive affect he had on their lives. After his retirement from the provincial government, he continued to work part time at the Life Skills Center. The staff and residents there will miss him. Terry was an active member of the NB Association of Social Workers. He served as Provincial President of CUPE 1418 and he was a founding member of the NB Federation of Labour. He leaves behind a son, Marc Sussey (Tania); daughter, Erica Seaman (Dwayne); grandchildren, Rebecca and Austin Seaman; two sisters, Elaine Sussey (Craig Schneider) and Pat Crocker (Bud); and his caregiver and long-term companion Scott Billings as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. By request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in memory of Terry may be made to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Oncology Unit, Canadian Cancer Society or to Meals on Wheels.
