JOHNSON - MALEK, BARBARA LYNN It is with much sadness we announce the passing of Barbara L. Johnson -Malek, which occurred suddenly on November 8, 2008 at the Swanhaven Residential Facility in Harvey Station. Barbara was the daughter of Franklin and the late Alberta (Green) Johnson and was born on September 19, 1955. She resided in Fredericton most of her life except for the last several years at Swanhaven where she received the best of care. Barbara enjoyed her time in the hair dressing profession and had many friends. She enjoyed camping, visiting friends and relatives, reading, listening to music and watching TV. She was member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Fredericton. She is survived by her father, Franklin and wife Louise of Fredericton; brother, Glenn of Toronto; aunt, Thelma (Ross) McConchie of Grand Bay; uncles, Floyd (Evelyn) of Ketepec and Rev. Robert Johnson of Gagetown and Temperance Vale and also several cousins. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 11th, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 12th, 2008 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Doug Hapeman will officiate. Interment will take place in the Central Hampstead Cemetery.
