COLE, CHARLES "CHARLIE" The passing of Charles "Charlie" Herbert Cole, husband of Hazel (Briggs) Cole, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on November 18, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 7, 1925 in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of the late Herbert and Winnifred (Thomas) Cole. Charlie had retired in 1987 from the NB Liquor Corporation (Customs and Excise Branch). He was a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church. He loved keeping his lawn and yard looking well, being with his family and loved being at home. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert of Fredericton and Peter (Laurie) of Douglas; three grandsons, Derek of AB, Devon and Brogan of Douglas; six brothers, Gerald of Brampton, ON, Gordon (Marie), Kenneth (Jean), Robert (Theresa), Michael (Nancy) all of Fredericton and Albert (Beatrice) of Brampton, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Bonita Alice (1950); brother, Ronald and infant brother, Howard. Although there will be no visitation by request, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 2 pm with Father John Jennings as celebrant. A reception will follow the Mass in the church hall. Interment will take place in the Hermitage Cemetery, Fredericton, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Parkinson Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
