O'HARA, KENNETH DONALD JOHN The passing of Kenneth "Kenny" Donald John O'Hara, husband of Mary Lou O'Hara of Douglas, NB, occurred on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton. Born on June 22, 1945, Kenny was the son of the late Donald and Liese (Frohle) O'Hara. Kenny was an electrical contractor and self employed since the early '70's. he enjoyed golfing with his friends when he wasn't working. His job was very important to him and he made many friends throughout the years in business, most recently his friends at NB Power. He was a loving, kind and gentle man to his wife, daughters and grandchildren. His devotion to his mother during her last two years with Alzheimer's was noted by many during the time he himself was going through kimo and radiation. Anyone that knew Ken would know him for his kindness, honesty and fair play. When asked how he was doing, he would always reply, "Any better and I would be in Heaven, only life will retire me". Kenny is survived by three daughters, Melanie O'Hara Russell (Peter) of Golden, BC, Kendra Leigh Paasche (John) of Calgary, AB, Meagan Shawn O'Hara (Luke Paul) of Fredericton, NB; five grandchildren, Emma, Lauren and Malcolm Russell, Ava and Kenzie Paul; and a sister Jeanette O'Hara Hines (Gordon) of Guelph, ON; nephew Gregory Hines of Guelph, ON and special mention to a life long friend in Denis Doucette. A gathering in remembrance of Kenny will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr. Fredericton, NB on Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 2 to 4 pm. Interment will take place at a later date in Dayton Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice and would be appreciated by the family.
