SIMMONS, ARTHURA G. (CHAPMAN) Of Lakeville Corner, NB passed away December 3rd, 2008 at Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Sypher's Cove, NB November 20, 1911 she was the last surviving member of her immediate family, the daughter of the late Arthur and Lillie (Robinson) Chapman. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Guy C. Simmons; brothers, Norval (Dot), Dana (Glenna) and Elton (Audrey) Chapman; an infant grandson Christopher Simmons. She is survived by daughter Gail Simmons; son Duane (Sharron) Simmons and granddaughter, Angela Simmons and special grandnephew Philip Chapman and many nieces and nephews. Arthura attended Provincial Normal School and taught in various localities in NB before retiring from Parker Memorial School in Minto in 1971. She was a member of Remembrance Chapter Order of the Eastern Star in Minto for many years. A member of Lakeville Corner United Baptist Church. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home 327-3490 visitation on Thursday evening from 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Friday, December 5th, 2008 from the Lakeville Corner United Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Webber officiating. Internment will take place in the Byno Cemetery, Lakeville Corner.
