GIONET, MEDAR EDDY The death of Medar Eddy Gionet, loving husband of Beverly (Hughes) Gionet, of Fredericton (formally Saint John), occurred on December 16, 2008 at the Dr. Chalmers Hospital. Born July 30,1941 in Middle Caraquet, NB he was the son of the late Cesaire and Delima (Lanteigne) Gionet. Besides his wife Beverly he is survived by his son Lloyd Paul Gionet of Martinon; daughter Linda Gionet (Whitold) of Ottawa; step daughters, Cynthia Boudreau (Kevin) of Fredericton and Sandra Lingley of Saint John; brother Delor Gionet (May) of Saint John; sister Frances Cormier (Joe) of Saint John; Three grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he is predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Medar will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. By request there will be no visitations. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Friday December 19, 2008 at 11 am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
