ALBERT ALOYSIOUS KENNEDY
KENNEDY, ALBERT ALOYSIOUS Kennedy, Albert Aloysious, 75 of Burton, NB. Albert passed peacefully away on Saturday, January 3rd, 2009, surrounded by his cherished wife and children. Born in Trepassey, Newfoundland, he was the son of the late William and Josephine (Molloy) Kennedy. He was predeceased by his son, Tim in November 2008, his brother Edward and sister Regina, and several brothers and sisters-in-law. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years - Kathleen (Power) Kennedy, his five children; Don (Marianne), of Borden ON, Charlie (Debbie), of Cornwall PEI, Lynne (Jeff), of Halifax NS, Lori (Paul), of Victoria BC, and Lisa (Mike), of Burton NB; also his nine grandchildren, Daniel and Donald Kennedy, Michael, Marie, and Kathleen Gallant, Leah Kennedy, and Megan, Alison, and Kelly Schiarizza; two great-grandchildren, Shaina Kennedy and Brandon Pineo; and his special grand nieces Sophia and Genevieve Mason. He is survived by his sisters; Rita Finlay, Margaret Harper (Ralph), Mary Kieley, and Anne Kennedy; brothers James and William (Donna). He is also survived by sisters-in-law; Stella Devereaux, Dorothy Jackman (Clem),Sister Marion Power, Rita Power and Elizabeth Kennedy. Albert was a member of the Newfoundland Constabulary from 1955-1958, after which he served in the Canadian Military for 25 years as a member of RCEME. He worked for ten years following his retirement from the military at Base Maintenance, CFB Gagetown. He was a skilled carpenter, mechanic and electrician. He built many pieces of beautiful furniture for his children during his retirement years. He also enjoyed gardening, refinishing furniture and visiting with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all of us who loved him. Visitation will take place at the Oromocto Select Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 at 11 am, at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (29 Loisville Street, Oromocto) with Fr. Ken Weir as celebrant. Reception to follow in the Family Centre. Internment will be at a later date.
