DENNIS HALE

HALE, DENNIS Dennis Hale of Rusagonis, N.B. passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, at the age of 82. Born on April 28, 1926 in Tibbs Cross Farm, Greenbottom, Gloucester, England. He was the son of the late William Edward Hale and Edith Elizabeth (Hart) Hale. Dennis was predeceased by his wife Philomena Margaret Theresa (Tucker) Hale, commonly known as "Tommy" on November 27, 1982. He is survived by one sister, Rose Walford of England and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brothers, William, Hubert, Frank, George, Frederick, and Albert all of England and Percy of Australia and sisters, Doris Harper, Emily Barnickle and Ann Duckett all of England. Dennis was a veteran of the British Army and served in WWII. He was injured in France during the war. He worked in aircraft construction in England and Toronto. Upon moving to New Brunswick he worked for Optyl Canada Inc and Process Technology Ltd in Oromocto. He retired in 1990. At Dennis's request there will be no visitations or funeral service. A graveside service will take place in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Lincoln, in the spring.
