DAVID GEORGE BEERS

BEERS, DAVID GEORGE David George Beers passed away at his home in Hammond's Plains, Nova Scotia on January 7. He leaves to mourn his wife, Marion (Forsythe), and their son, Kyle, studying at Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario and his beloved pet, Kasey. He is also survived by his parents, Arnold and Rita Beers of Riverview, NB.; sisters, Kathy Leslie (Steve Moses) of Moncton and Nancy (Allan) Urquhart of Riverview; brothers, Michael and Peter (Joanne) of Moncton, Stephen (Val) of Canmore, Alberta and Robert (Lorraine) of Trenton, Ontario. David is also survived by his nieces, Jennifer, Melissa, Nadia, Makhalia and Natasha; his nephews, Christopher, Chris, Alexander and George and his great nephews, Sam and Jasper. Marion's siblings, Barbara, George (Sheila), Greg (Muriel), Marty (Angie) and Tom (Sandra) and their children/grandchildren were very important to David. David would want his best friend, Stephen Hills, included in his obituary. David served for twenty years with the Canadian Military, stationed at various bases, including Gagetown, Lahr, Trenton, NS, Victoria and Shearwater. Following his retirement from the military, David became a Dispatcher with various transport companies including Seaboard, Global, Schenker, Brookville and currently employed with Clarke Road Transport in Halifax. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan as well as a Nascar follower with his favourite racers Dale Ernhardt Senior and Junior. The family will receive visitors on Monday, January 12 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Lincoln from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Monte Peters to be held Tuesday at noon. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
