PORTER, MARY "JANET" The passing of Mary "Janet" (MacFadzen) Porter, wife of the late George Porter, of Fredericton, occurred on January 12, 2009 at York Manor Nursing Home. Born on July 14, 1940 in Fredericton, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Leona (Meade) MacFadzen. Janet was a member of the United Pentecostal Church, Zealand. Janet is survived by one daughter, Melodie Brewer (Kevin) of Zealand; three sons, George and Tim Porter both of Fredericton, Joe Porter (Nicole) of Boiestown; grandchildren, Charles, Ben, Mirriah, Katelyn, Lorne, Blake and Nicholas; one brother, John MacFadzen (Shirley) of Oromocto; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Ronald. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 2 pm with Rev. George Clark officiating. Interment will take place at Scotch Settlement Cemetery at a later date.
