
HALBERTON (BERT) JEWER CRONKHITE
CRONKHITE, HALBERTON (BERT) JEWER Bert J. Cronkhite of Upper Southampton, NB passed away January 30, 2009 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB. Born at Upper Southampton in 1926, he was a son of the late Melvin and Estella (Currie) Cronkhite. Bert loved his family and especially enjoyed visits from his grandchildren. Bert is survived by his children, Dwight O'Donnell, Bath, Doug O'Donnell (Lucy), Woodstock, Shawn Cronkhite (Patti), Beechwood, Floyd Cronkhite (Kim), Keith Brooks (Paula), Donnie Brooks (Gail), all of Southampton, Susan Miller (Jeff), Upper Kent, Patricia Byram (Mike), Bristol, Valerie Gaunce (Seth), Beechwood, Beverly Davenport (Ronald), Kilburn, Nina Brooks (Robert), Woodstock, Marilyn Cronkhite, Southampton and Sheila Keetch (Kevin), Upper Queensbury; thirty one grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bert was predeceased by his first wife Rose and his second wife, Joyce, two sons, Floyd Arnold Cronkhite and Bert Brooks, two sisters, Faith Cronkhite and Lillian Davenport, four brothers, Aubrey, Arlo, James and Artamus Cronkhite, a granddaughter, Jessica Fox and two great granddaughters, Layla Fox and Madison Rouselle. Visiting hours were held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Sunday. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Monday, February 2, 2009 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Alston Oliver officiating. A reception will follow at the Southampton Community Hall. Interment will be later at Lenentine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Hatheway, Mike Demerchant, Jeff Miller, Seth Gaunce, Ronald Davenport and Kevin Keetch.
