DARRELL RAYMOND MESSER

MESSER, DARRELL RAYMOND With sorrow the family announces the passing of Darrell R. Messer of Harvey Station, NB on February 11, 2009 when that big heart of his just played out. Darrell was born at Manners Sutton, NB on July 13, 1925, a son of the late Ezra and Vera (Noble) Messer. Before his retirement, he was a self employed trucker and mechanic. Darrell enjoyed bowling, playing cards and time spent at the activities of the Golden Age Seniors Club in Harvey Station. He is survived by four brothers, Ronald (Marjorie) of Harvey Station, Lester (Eleanor) of Hollis, New Hampshire, Cyril (Marilyn) and Byron, both of St. Petersburg, Florida; a sister-in-law, Betty Messer, Harvey Station; his dear friend, Della Coburn, Harvey Station and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Darrell was predeceased by a brother Gerald and a sister, Nellie Currie. Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Harvey Station on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating. Interment will be later at Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Yeo, Jeff Nason, Chad McCann, Brandon Gaynor, Todd Messer and James Messer.
