JOSEPH ARTHUR KING

KING, JOSEPH ARTHUR Joseph A. King of Lake George, NB passed away February 18th, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Joe was born at Hanwell, NB in 1929, a son of the late Joseph and Bertha (Lindsay) King. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed being outdoors where he gardened, fished, hunted, picked berries and took drives through the woods looking for animals. Family gatherings were an important part of his life as well. Joe is survived by his children, Darlene King, Ontario, Elton King, Lake George, Doris Kranendonk (Swanny), Lake George, Sharon Cleghorn (Lawrence), Harvey, Elaine Balson (John), Harvey, Beverly King (Clifford), Magaguadavic, Debbie King, Fredericton and Carolyn King (Skip), Lake George; three sisters, Frances King, Harvey, Greta King, Mazerolle Settlement and Wilma Corning, Rollingdam; two brothers, Gilbert King, St. George and Eugene King, Oromocto; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A special thank you to granddaughters Crystal and Tammy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Flora L. (Dutcher) King on June 30th, 2007, a brother, Donald King and a sister, Verna Mitcheal. Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station on Sunday from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Monday, February 23rd, 2009 at 11 am with The Ven. Walter Williams officiating. Interment will be later at Pine Grove Cemetery, Magaguadavic.
