WILE, BYRON COLLINS Byron Collins Wile of Fredericton died on Friday, February 20th, 2009 at the Veterans Health Unit in Fredericton, NB. Born May 6th, 1923 in Bridgewater, NS, he was the son of the late John I. Wile and Jennie T. (Wile) Wile. Byron served in the RCAF from 1942-1945 in Canada, Alaska and England. After the war he attended UNB earning his BSC in Forestry in 1949 and his MSC in Forestry in 1958. He worked for the Canadian Forest Service Maritimes Section for 31 years retiring in 1981 to look after his wife, Edna (Corbett) Wile, who passed away in September of the same year. Survived by his companion of 21 years, Nadine Graham. Together they traveled every province of Canada and every state of the USA except RI. Also survived by brother-in-law, John Corbett of Gagetown. Byron was predeceased by half-sister Bernice A. (Wile) (Eisner) Swinimer and half-brother Percy H. Wile. There will be no visitation or flowers at Byron's request. A memorial service will take place at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Monday, February 23rd, 2009 at 2:00 PM with The Right Rev. George C. Lemmon officiating. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 will hold a tribute service during the memorial service. Interment will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial tributes made to the Veteran's Health Unit or the Canadian Forestry Service would be appreciated.
