(Alex) 1920 - September 4, 2002 and his beloved wife Flora Mary (Flo) Lawrence (nee Myler)– 1920 - October 22, 2007: Predeceased by their first daughter Lizbeth Anne with whom they will be laid to rest in Belvedere Cemetery in their home city of St. John's as per their request. To commemorate their lives, a graveside committal service with four of their five surviving children: James, David, John and Cathy, their spouses and family members in attendance, will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Belvedere Cemetery (Newtown Road entrance). All who knew Alex and Flo are invited to attend. Alex and Flo were loved beyond words by their children and their spouses, 22 grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. They enjoyed their lives, travelling from one end of Canada to the other, along with several trips to Europe. They spent several of their retirement years in Florida, to escape the cold winters and enjoyed fun times with old and new friends over the winter months. In their life journey they gained many friends, were loved and respected by all and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew them.
