GRANT, WILLIAM CHARLES (BILL) William (Bill) Charles Grant of Canterbury passed away at his home on March 18, 2009. Born in 1950 at Woodstock, he was a son of Marita E. (Paradis) Grant and the late William S. Grant. Bill was employed at AV Nackawic and had worked on the St. John Ambulance in Canterbury for 12 years. He loved his time spent with his family. His hobbies included bowling, fishing, hunting, spending time in the outdoors, tinkering with cars and trucks and working with wood. Bill was a member of the Meductic Baptist Church. Bill is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sheila (Foster) Grant; a son, Benjamin Grant (Kelsey), Fredericton; a daughter, Alisha Grant, Edmonton, AB; a grandson, Matthew of Maine, USA; his mother, Marita Grant, Canterbury; a brother, Gary Grant (Sharol), Fort McMurray, AB; his parents-in-law, Kathryn and Beecher Foster, Canterbury; a brother-in-law, Garvice Gesner, Fredericton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his father, Bill was predeceased by a sister, Violet Gesner. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Meductic Baptist Church, 391 Route 165, Meductic on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dale Greer officiating. Interment will be later at Canterbury Cemetery.
