CLOSE, VIOLA MAE Viola M. Close of Harvey Station, NB passed away March 19th, 2009 at Swanhaven, Harvey Station. Born in McAdam in 1925, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Eldora (Mattatall) Webber. Viola enjoyed music and was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her husband, Percy Close; her children, Nancy Nason, Harvey Station, Edward Close (Shirley), Harvey Station, Leroy Close (Krista), Riverview, Donald Close (Claudette), Harvey Station, Murray Close, Harvey Station, Mae Close (Ken), Fords Mills, Garnet Close, Harvey Station, Carol Lockhart (Brian), Quispamsis, Marguerite Close, Moncton, Maxine Close (Wayne), Moncton and Brian Close, Fredericton; a sister, Kathleen Stroffer, Scarborough, Maine; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Viola was predeceased by two brothers, Cecil and John Mattatall. Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station on Saturday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Sunday, March 22nd, 2009 at 2 pm with Pastor Hollis Clark officiating. Interment will be later at Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Joseph Close, Jason LeBlanc-Close, Eddy Scott, Ronnie Scott, Don Scott, Roy Scott and Allan Shand.
