HILDA ELDORADO MACKENZIE
MACKENZIE, HILDA ELDORADO Hilda E. MacKenzie of Lake George, NB passed away March 23, 2009 at Carleton Manor, Woodstock. Born at Armond, Carleton Co., NB in 1910, she was the youngest of ten children and last surviving, born to the late Robert A. and Susan M. (Fitz Randolph) Henderson. Hilda worked as telephone operator at Grand Central Station in New York City. This is where she met and married her husband Jack. Hilda was a practical nurse and sold Avon for many years. She was a member of the Harvey Golden Age seniors. Hilda is survived by her son, Alistair MacKenzie (Gloria), Stoney Creek, ON; her grandchildren, Marty MacKenzie (Tina), Stoney Creek, ON and Karen Miller (Perry); great granddaughter, Nicole MacKenzie; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John W. (Jack) MacKenzie in 1988; her great grandson, Joshua Ryan MacKenzie in 2006; five sisters, Charlotte Craven, Jennie Belyea, Daisy Whitehouse, Velma Morello and Zella Henderson; four brothers, Randolph, Arthur, Frank Gault and infant Frank Webster Henderson. Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jennifer Brown officiating. Interment will be later at Magundy Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Gillis and Malcolm Kelly.
