She enjoyed school, went onto secretarial school then joined the air force in 1943, spending WWII serving in Halifax, NS. Following the war, she moved to Moncton, NB where she met Wellington Arthur Francis (Frank) Gallagher. The couple married September 4, 1947. They had two daughters, Lisa Henderson (John) and Lori both of Fredericton, NB; two granddaughters, Terri-lynn Hicks (Shane) and Tiffany Martin; four great grandchildren, Victoria, Kyle, Jared and Zane Hicks all of Fredericton, NB. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and being active in her church, Forest Hill United. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. Beth's family came in contact with some amazing people over the last eight months and a special thank you must go out to the staff of the first floor of the Oromocto Public Hospital for their kindness during Beth's final days. Her favorite colour was yellow, she made the best rolls and she still did math longhand. She will truly be missed. At Beth's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. There will be a celebration of life held at the Forest Hill United Church on April 4th, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Meredeth Fraser officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, Forest Hill United Church or to the charity of the donor's choice. www.mcadamsfh.com (458-9170)
