MARIE VERNA DONAHER

DONAHER, MARIE VERNA (ARSENEAULT/UPSHAW) (1955 - 2009) Targettville, NB - Marie Verna (Arseneault) Donaher, wife of Carl David Donaher of 17 years died on route to hospital on March 27th 2009. She was born on November 28th, 1955 in Tracadie, New Brunswick. She was the daughter of the late Aurele and Ida (Comeau) Arseneault. Besides her husband, she will be sadly missed by her son; Joseph Upshaw (Crystal) of Alberta, stepson; Paul Donaher of Ontario; and nephew; Brandon Arseneault, at home. She will also be missed by six sisters; Rosemonde (Fred) Burns of Cape Breton, Brenda (Euclide) Brideau of Durham Bridge, Denise (Rev. Ian) Shapter of Targettville, Lynda (Douglas) Upshaw of Windsor, NS, Angella (Carl) Estey-Nash of Fredericton, Jacynthe (Wayne) Murray of Lower Sackville, NS, and two brothers; Gérard (Georgine Mallais) Arsenault and Jacques (Kim) Arseneault, both of Fredericton. She will be missed by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many friends, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her family, she will be missed by her caregiver; Hilda Symes of South Branch. Verna's family would like to express a special thank you to her special friends, Judy Roberts and Arlene Ross who wiped away many tears and helped her so dearly cope with her disease. Verna was employed by the Province of New Brunswick, Government of Canada, New Brunswick Youth Council, Electoral Boundaries Commission, Commission on Land Use and Rural Environment, and Official Languages Commission. She was a member of the Anglican Church Women's (ACW), Brown's Yard, as well as the Women's Liberal Association. Verna was a caregiver for Charles Donaher (Uncle) for 6 years until her sickness. Verna enjoyed doing her yearly Christmas Calendar for her family. She enjoyed computers, sewing, crafts, and quilting. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 31st, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Saint Paul's Anglican Church, Brown's Yard. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. If so desired donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Saint Paul's Anglican Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family (family flowers only please).
