VALANNE, KENNETH NORMAN Kenneth Norman Valanne passed away on April 1st, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born 26 May 1932 in North Minto, NB he was the son of the late Kunne (Ken) and Estella (Collins) Valanne. Ken is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Ida (Quigley) Valanne of Minto; daughter, Bonnie Mills of Minto; step-daughter, Marilyn Schott of Ottawa, ON; daughter-in-law, Linda Valanne of Minto; step-daughter-in-law, Yvonne Briggs of Minto; two granddaughters, Hope Gallant (Paul) of Minto and Shannon Valanne of Fredericton, NB; great grandchildren, Kristen and Alexander; brother, Bruce Valanne (Geraldine) of New Zion; five sisters, Marion McNeill of Fredericton, NB, Ruby Banks of Toronto, ON, Anita Jewett (Allison) of Fredericton, NB, Donna Bezanson (Ronald) of Pembroke, ON, Lois Wilson (David) of Port Stanley, ON; two brothers-in-law, Rene LeFait and Come Losier. Many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, a son, Cedric, a step-son, Earl Briggs, two infant brothers, Bruce and Carl, three sisters, Betty Kennedy-LeFait, Edith Losier and Irene Hennessy, two brothers-in-law, Ernest McNeill and James Hennessy. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home (327-3490) with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 4th from Trinity United Church, Minto. Interment will take place in the Wallbridge Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to Trinity United Church would be appreciated by the family.
