MACDONALD, BERYL C. 1937 - 2009 Fredericton - Beryl Catherine MacDonald, of Talisman Crescent, Fredericton and formerly of Miramichi, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, in Fredericton, on Sunday, April 5, 2009, at the age of 72. Born in Chatham, on April 3, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Elizabeth (Sullivan) Cook. She was a well known employee in the restaurant business in the Miramichi area. She attended St. Michaels Basilica, in Miramichi and following her move to Fredericton, was an active member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by three daughters, Sheila Fitzpatrick (Bob), of Fredericton, Colleen MacDonald, of Ottawa, Ont., Betty Blanchard (Rob), of Fredericton; five grandchildren, Kyle, Cassie, Kelsey, Dara, Noah; six sisters, Eileen MacDonald (Eddie), of Miramichi., Patricia Jenkins, of Redmondville, Marjorie Shubert (Wayne), of Miramichi, Louise Cook, of Miramichi, Lorraine Gray (Rheal), of Miramichi, Agnes Fosheim, of Miramichi; three brothers, Paul Cook (Myrna), of St. Margarets, Hugh Cook (Shirley), of Hamilton, Ont., Brian Cook (Colleen), of Glenwood; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Gary and Wayne MacDonald; three siblings Marie Murray, Jean Stroader and Wendall Cook. Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Wednesday evening only, from 6 to 9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michaels Basilica, on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 11 am, conducted by Father John Fraser. Interment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, later in the spring. Please note, vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on wednesday evening, at 8 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the "Lifting The Stone" project, of St. Michaels Basilica, or to the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Fredericton, would be appreciated by the family. A Memorial Mass celebrating Beryl's life will be held from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, in Fredericton, on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at 12 noon.
