THURBER, MICHAEL ALLAN Michael Allan Thurber of Sheffield, NB passed away suddenly on April 5th, 2009 at the age of 43. He was the son of Doreen Thurber and the late Wayne Thurber of Burton, NB. He is survived by his partner, Karla and their two daughters, Abby and Victoria as well as his eldest daughter, Michelle Poirier of Fredericton; his mother, Doreen; two brothers, John (Shelley) and their children, Kristen and Michael, Shawn (Charlotte) and their children, Jenah, Leigha and Kayla as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Wayne and infant daughter, Hannah Marie. Mike was born on November 5th, 1965 and grew up in the Oromocto and surrounding area. He was the owner of A1 Tree Removal. Mike enjoyed hunting, four wheeling, boating, car racing and most of all his 1968 Camaro. He also enjoyed taking trips to Campobello Island to visit family and friends. Mike was very generous and was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Friday, April 10th, 2009 from 6-9 pm. A funeral service will be at the Oromocto United Church on Saturday, April 11th, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bob McDowell officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
