SMITH, MURRAY The passing of Murray Smith of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Edith (Stower) Smith, occurred on April 10th, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Belleisle Creek, NB, he was the son of the late Byard and Lillian (Bernard) Smith. Murray was a Veteran of World War II, worked as a firefighter for the city of Fredericton and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #15. He is survived by two sons, Doug and Brian and their families; one sister, Evelyn McGee and family; several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Murray's wishes, no formal service will take place at this time. A private burial will take place at a later date.
