DUNFIELD, MARLENE MARIE Marlene Dunfield of Fredericton, NB passed away April 18, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born August 4, 1942 at Halifax, NS, she was the daughter of the late Hollis and Georgina (Geddes) Myers. Marlene was a student at UBBTS (Atlantic Baptist University) for four years where she developed many life-long relationships and met her husband. Over the years, she devoted time to volunteering at West End Baptist Church in Halifax and Brunswick Street Baptist Church in Fredericton including significant work with the sick, elderly and terminally ill. Marlene was caring and outgoing, with many friends and had been an avid badminton player. In recent years, she delighted in spending time with her friends, family and grand-pets, and expressed great joy and anticipation for her unborn grandchild. Marlene is survived by her husband Everett R. Dunfield, her two sons Dwight (Kari Beyea) and Duane (Nancy Gaudet), and her grandchildren Alexandra and Erik Dunfield; by her sister, Donna (Maxwell) Rafuse, of Chester; her sister-in-law, Donna (Cochrane) Myers of Kingston, and several aunts, in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, and brother Gerald Myers. Visiting hours will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home (160 York Street, Fredericton 458-9170) on Tuesday, April 21st, 2009 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Brunswick Street Baptist Church, Fredericton on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009 at 2 pm.
