BERTHA CHRISTINA DOAK

DOAK, BERTHA CHRISTINA Bertha Christina Doak, widow of Wallace W. Doak went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 24th, at the Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, after a brief illness. She was born in Doaktown on April 3rd, 1925 to L. Hardy Amos and his wife Annie May (Lyons) Amos. She was very active in various offices of the Doaktown United Baptist Church and was also a Dominion Life Member of the Women's Missionary Society. She was predeceased by two sisters, Greta Betts and Olive Smith, one brother, Tennyson Amos, a niece, Annabelle (Smith) Cusak and a grandson Benji. She is survived by her son George Doak (Sue), daughter Anna May Doak, and son Jerry Doak (Bonnie); two sisters, Betty Lloyd (Harold) and Margaret Dudley, one brother, George Amos, eight grandchildren; Joanna, Rachel, Naomi, Geordie, Christina, Melanie, Matthew and Megan and one great granddaughter, Chloe. The late Mrs. Bertha Christina Doak is resting at Doaktown United Baptist Church, 406 Main Street in Doaktown. Visitation will be held Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Monday 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 28th, at 2:00 PM form the church, with Pastor Tom Townsend officiating. Burial will take place in the family plot of the church cemetery at a later date. Arrangements in care of Davidson's Funeral Home (365-7022) or (622-7464)
