GADD, ANTHONY "TONY" JOHN Anthony John Gadd passed away peacefully Monday May 25th, 2009, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born on May 2nd, 1941 in Southport England to the late Reverend F.A. and Mollie Gadd, Tony emigrated to Canada as a teenager with his family, settling first in rural Ontario and then in Saint John N.B. After graduating from U.N.B. Tony spent his life pursuing various business interests in Fredericton and was known for his interest in boats, English literature and good conversation. He will be remembered and sadly missed by; his wife Wanda (Dickinson) and sons Andrew and Mark, children Carla, David and Andrea Boyd from his first marriage; sisters Jennifer Collett-White (Thomas) and Susan Ferris (Charles) and brother Peter (Deana); sister-in-law Ann Gadd, and all their families. He was pre-deceased by his sister Rosemary and brother Jeremy. He will also be fondly remembered by many friends including the members of The Men's Coffee Club. The funeral will be held at Christ Church Cathedral in Fredericton on Thursday May 28th at 2:00 pm. At the request of the family there will not be a visitation but a reception will follow the funeral at the Cathedral Memorial Hall on Church Street. It is the family's wishes that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Tony's name be made to Christ Church Cathedral, or a charity of the donor's choice.
