GRIFFIN, BESSIE JANE The passing of Bessie Jane Griffin, wife of the late Preston Griffin, of Boiestown, NB, occurred on May 25, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 12, 1912 in Williamsburg, NB, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Dora (Ward) Fullarton. Bessie was a member of Cross Creek Baptist Church and formerly associated with Boiestown Senior Citizens Club. Bessie is survived by two daughters, Jean Gorman of Williamsburg, NB and Lavona Gilmore (Gerald) of Taymouth, NB; one son, Stephen Gullison (Rhoda) of Stanley, NB; 16 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; one great great great grandchild; step-daughter, Mary Jane Rice (Bob) of Fredericton, NB; step-son, Bill Griffin (Faye) of Boiestown, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Stephen Gullison; two daughters, Norma and Olive; one son, Merle; one granddaughter, Jacqueline Sweeney; two sisters, Annie and Ruth; four brothers, Donald, Robert, Scott and Harry. Visitation will take place at Cross Creek Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from the church on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 11 am with Pastor Gordon Mowry officiating. Interment will take place at Cross Creek Baptist Cemetery, Cross Creek, NB.
