HAINES, EDWIN GARNETT The passing of Edwin Garnett Haines of Burtts Corner, NB occurred on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 7, 1961 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Sanford and Zella (Williams) Haines. He worked at Crabbe Mountain in the rental shop for 18 plus years. Edwin was a great volunteer person in his community; he volunteered for the Keswick Valley Volunteer Fire Department for years, also the Saint John Ambulance service in Keswick Valley, Nashwaak-Keswick Ambulance service and Green Hill Lake Camp. He enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing, watching hockey and spending time with family and friends. Edwin was always there to volunteer and help his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Edwin is survived by his two sisters, Brenda (Cleatus) Luce and Rose (Perry) Bennett both of Burtts Corner, NB; four brothers, Murray (Linda) of Stanley, NB, Eric (Faye), Brian (Suzanne) both of Burtts Corner, NB and Stephen (Shawna) of Maugerville, NB; aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Edwin was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Dorothy Williams and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Greta Haines. Visitation will take place at the Church of Christ, Burtts Corner, NB on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 7 to 9 pm and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the church on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 2 pm with Pastor Graham Crandall officiating, Rev. Dave Wellwood and Pastor Darrell Haines assisting. Pallbearers for the service will be Phillip Haines, Michael Williams, Lloyd White, Dustin Brownlow, Peter Haines, Jason Neilson; Honourary Pallbearers will be Brandon Bustard, Jimmy Rediker, Gary Burtt, Jimmy Taylor, Zach Mullin and Nicholas Colford. Interment will take place in Burtts Corner Community Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Church of Christ, Burtts Corner, Burtts Corner Community Cemetery or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
