ROSS EVANS R. JAMIESON

JAMIESON, ROSS EVANS R. Evans Jamieson of McAdam and formerly of Prince William Station, NB passed away June 7, 2009 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in 1926 at Prince William Station, he was a son of the late Ross Edwin and Dorothy (Webb) Jamieson. Evans was a mail carrier for 15 years on Route 635 until the post office was moved to Harvey Station. He built furniture, repaired bicycles and was an excellent mechanic. Evans loved the outdoors. He is survived by two sisters, Irene MacMullin, Magaguadavic and Roxie Jamieson, McAdam; a brother, Carl Jamieson (Barbara), Sheffield; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Evans was predeceased by a sister, Myrna McGee and three brothers, Dr. Robert Jamieson, Raymond Jamieson and Ivan Jamieson. The family will receive visitors at a reception to be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 1 to 2 p.m. A graveside service will then follow at 2:30 p.m. at Sunny Bank Cemetery, Magaguadavic with Rev. Ellen Beairsto officiating, assisted by Rev. Kay Clowater and Rev. William MacMullin. Pallbearers will be nephews George Jamieson, Robert Jamieson, Chris Jamieson, Rev. William MacMullin, George MacMullin and John MacMullin. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Evans, the family has suggested the St. Andrews United Church Choir Fund or charity of the donor's choice. Evans will be sadly missed by the Residents and Staff of Wauklehegan Manor in McAdam. His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Staff of the Manor for their wonderful and professional care that Evans received as a resident there for the past 28 years of his life. www.flewellingswan.com
